Any Given Workday

I still have a day left before my downloaded 7-day trial version of Google Earth Pro expires. This pro version has many more useful features than the free one.

You can create movies or videos of your Google Earth "flights", similar to this one which shows my 15-kilometer daily route to my place of work:

You can also estimate land areas using the Polygon Tool:
So, did you know that the Quirino Grandstand grounds has an area of approximately 2.7 hectares or 27,000 square meters?

So, if one person watching a concert or rally standing on the Grandstand grounds can occupy an area of one square foot that is equivalent to roughly 10 people squeezed in a square meter land area, then a group of 270,000 souls can actually fill the largest empty space in the entire City of Manila.

That's scientific crowd estimation for you, especially if you're a journalist who, on any given workday, reports such kind of information and is tired or dubious of bloated figures given by so-called authorities. ;-)
